Introduction: Hypothyroidism is characterized by a decrease in oxygen and substrate utilization by major organ systems of the body. Hence patients with angina have fewer symptoms if they become hypothyroid. Hypothyroidism also results in bradycardia and weakening of myocardial contraction.
